Something That Made Us Stand Up and Cheer
This banner came down at the very end of the show and it had every delegate, whose camera’s batteries hadn’t died, reaching for something to take a picture with. We were astonished, yet again, at the hospitality of the people we had met and couldn’t help but to stand up and clap a little louder. We would all soon find out, however, that this generosity and warmth is not felt everywhere and sometimes being an ambassador is about more than a smile. It is about truly understanding a culture and also knowing when to ask for help.
